MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING

Learning outcomes:

  • Knowing and understanding the different types of medical imaging

  • Understanding how they are visualized

  • Some basic anatomy knowledge

  • Medical images preprocessing

  • Medical images registrations

  • Medical images segmentation

  • Some tools to read, visualize and process medical image

After this course you will be able to understand, read, visualise and process medical images such as CT scans or MRIs.

Chapter I: Introduction to Medical Imaging

Chapter II : Image Reconstruction & Visualization

Chapter III : Anatomy, debluring & registration

Chapter IV: Medical Images Segmentation

Chapter V: Tools and Applications

Exam: oral with 30 minutes of preparation on a set of questions. The first part will be more about course questions, the second part will be a discussion around an open question.

Lessons will take place on Thursdays from 8:15 am to 10:10 am (10th, 17th and 24th February, and 3rd, 10th and 17th March, 2022). Courses will have a blended format: onsite and online.
