From May 12 to 16, 23 students from the Cultur.Ed<\/strong> program at University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P<\/strong>)<\/a> took part in an immersion experience<\/strong> at the Universit\u00e9 Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (UPHF)<\/strong><\/a> as part of the Step-up project<\/strong>. As a reminder, since September 2024<\/strong>, UM6P has been an associate partner<\/strong> of our EUNICE alliance.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Step-up is a 10-month program<\/strong> designed for students<\/strong> who have completed their baccalaureate and wish to pursue engineering studies<\/strong> at UM6P.<\/p>\r\n[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line”][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]\r\n

They had the opportunity<\/strong> to explore UPHF<\/strong> in its entirety, participate in small group work sessions<\/strong>, engage in exchanges with local students<\/strong>, and visit several UPHF laboratory platforms.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Alongside these work sessions, the UM6P<\/strong> students enjoyed a cultural program<\/strong> designed to introduce them to the rich historical and heritage legacy<\/strong> of the Hauts-de-France region. They explored the emblematic cities<\/strong> of Lille and Valenciennes.<\/strong> They also visited the Louvre-Lens<\/strong> and Lewarde<\/strong> museums<\/strong>, places that highlight the regional history<\/strong>, particularly related to mining heritage.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Finally, they were able to attend a theatre performance<\/strong> at the national stage of Le Ph\u00e9nix in Valenciennes.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

One of the UM6P students<\/strong>, Salma Haidara, explains: “This stay has left me with lasting memories<\/strong> and opened my eyes to other ways of living<\/strong>, learning<\/strong> and thinking<\/strong>. It strengthened my curiosity<\/strong> and my desire to experience other \u00a0things, to change my routine<\/strong>, to renew my energy<\/strong>, and to live new experiences<\/strong> with the same spirit of observation and discovery<\/strong>.”<\/em><\/p>\r\n[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line”][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]\r\n

Exchanges are strengthening between the two institutions<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”Small Line” line_alignment=”default” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”extra-color-gradient-1″ custom_height=”65″][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]\r\n

Since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)<\/strong> in September 2024, which designated UM6P a partner university<\/strong> of EUNICE, exchanges between the institutions have intensified. UM6P hosted members of the alliance to present its structure<\/strong>, values<\/strong>, and to identify various possible points of collaboration with all partners<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

In January 2025<\/strong>, a delegation from UM6P visited UPHF<\/strong>, where they were introduced to the institution, its collaboration with the Valenciennes Hospital<\/strong>, and its research laboratorie<\/strong>s, among other things.<\/p>\r\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]\r\n

This student immersion from UM6P<\/strong> is the first of its kind at UPHF<\/strong>. A second one is already planned from June 15 to 19<\/strong>, during which 25 students from Valenciennes (15 from the L3P SHN bachelor’s degree and 10 from the futsal team) will travel to UM6P for an “academic and sporting excellence week.”<\/strong><\/p>\r\n[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row type=”full_width_background”
