Then, it introduces the key concepts of conservation<\/strong> at different scales, from species to ecosystems<\/strong>, and explore how these concepts relate to Nature Based Solutions. Based on those concepts, the course examines a wide range of Nature Based Solutions, from the restoration of natural habitats to the naturalisation of urban marine infrastructure (grey infrastructure), through real-world case studies.\r\n\r\nFinally, the course looks at how society can incentivise, finance and govern Nature Based Solutions. Students will therefore gain a solid understanding of what Nature Based Solutions is or is not, and will gain a broad knowledge of the most innovative solutions<\/strong> being developed and employed in marine and coastal conservation.\r\n\r\nThis course is part of the micro-credential<\/a> Sustainable Marine Ecosystems by the University of Cantabria comprised by four courses.
