Applications for EUNICE international online courses complemented with a short mobility stay are open<\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text text_direction=\u00bbdefault\u00bb]EUNICE European University launches for the second consecutive year an innovative learning modality which combines online and onsite training with mobility grants: the Blended Intensive Programmes<\/strong> (BIPs). EUNICE BIPs are short programmes that use innovative ways of learning<\/strong> and teaching. This format redefines education and opens up to EUNICE universities students an opportunity for more flexible mobility<\/strong> without the barriers that often limit participation in traditional courses of longer duration and cost.<\/p>\n

Applications can be submitted through the International Relations Offices<\/a><\/span><\/strong> of EUNICE alliance universities. Currently, the application period is open for two courses that will take place in the Spanish city of Santander: Integrated Energy Systems: Challenges for a Sustainable World\u00bb will be delivered from 6 May to 28 June; and \u00abIntroduction to Global Studies\u00bb will run from 1 June to 12 July.<\/p>\n

The EUNICE Summer School \u00abIntegrated Energy Systems: Challenges for a Sustainable World<\/span><\/a><\/strong>\u00ab, especially oriented to PhD and Master students in the areas of sustainable development from the fields of industrial engineering, technology or environmental sciences. It\u00b4ll be based on the Magdalena Palace, iconic location of the International University Menendez Pelayo (UIMP), a EUNICE associated partner.<\/p>\n

The BIP \u201cIntroduction to Global Studies<\/a><\/span><\/strong>\u00bb will take place in the Faculty of Economics of the University of Cantabria, with an approach to globalisation phenomena providing insights from different points of view and areas of specialisation.<\/p>\n

Empowering students<\/h3>\n

These courses empower students to learn beyond textbooks, collaborate across borders, and embrace the richness of global perspectives. BIPs are delivered by academics from three or more EUNICE universities, combining online teaching modules with a short period staying abroad (a minimum of five days). This way, students engage with international peers at another university from the EUNICE consortium.<\/p>\n

Mobility grants are available to participate in these short stays, funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme, as are the Erasmus exchange programmes or the international internships.<\/p>\n

It is therefore an inclusive initiative that allows more university students to benefit from the advantages of mobility activities: living an intercultural experience, extending their personal network, acquiring useful skills in the labour market and learning diverse and complementary knowledge to their usual studies.<\/p>\n
