Ultimately, two standout projects were selected to receive large-scale funding: the <strong>PULSAR Radio Broadcasting Club<\/strong> and the <strong>Boundless Cinema Club<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis first call confirmed that EUNICE students and staff are ready to work together to bring great ideas to life\u201d, says Susana Amante, WP3 leader.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What Are EUNICE Clubs?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>EUNICE Clubs<\/strong> are non-profit student organisations created within the framework of the\u00a0<strong> European University for Customised Education<\/strong>. Their primary goal is to foster <strong>informal learning environments<\/strong> where students can develop key transversal skills that are crucial in both academic and professional contexts. These include: cognitive flexibility, communication, digital competence, intercultural understanding, problem solving, self-management and teamwork.<\/p>\n<p>EUNICE Clubs are open to students from all universities within the alliance. Interested students can freely join club activities, while individuals from outside the alliance may also participate by submitting a letter of interest to the club\u2019s coordination team.<\/p>\n<p>These clubs play a vital role in reinforcing a sense of <strong>European community<\/strong>, encouraging students to connect beyond borders and disciplines through common interests and shared goals.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the two awarded projects, the EUNICE Club ecosystem continues to grow with the creation of diverse student-led initiatives across Europe. Current clubs include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Book Club&#8230; Assim de Repente<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>R\u00eaves So Nord Club<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Language Caf\u00e9 Club<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Discussion Club<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each of these clubs contributes uniquely to building an engaged, intercultural and skilled student community \u2014 whether through reading groups, language exchanges, debate sessions, or cultural exploration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Boundless Cinema Club<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Boundless Cinema Club will use its \u20ac5,000 grant to launch a cross-border short film production, created by students from multiple EUNICE universities. The film is scheduled for completion by January 2027 and will follow a classic production structure \u2014 pre-production, production, and post-production \u2014 conducted mainly online.<\/p>\n<p>Students will participate in regular virtual meetings, creative challenges, joint editing sessions, and festival planning. The project not only aims to deliver a finished audiovisual piece but also seeks to strengthen digital skills, intercultural collaboration, and the European spirit among its participants. As a long-term initiative, the club envisions new productions every year with increasing participation from across the EUNICE network.<\/p>\n<p>At the moment, students from all the 10 partner institutions are taking part in the club: Polytechnic Institute of Viseu, University of\u00a0Mons, University Polytechnic Hauts-de-France, University of Vaasa, University of the Peloponnese, University of Catania, Poznan University of Technology, University of Cantabria, Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus\u2013Senftenberg and Karlstad University.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PULSAR Europa: Building a Pan-European Student Broadcast Network<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>PULSAR Club<\/strong> is also scaling up in a big way. With the help of its \u20ac5,000 micro-fund, the club will evolve into <strong>PULSAR Europa<\/strong>, a fully integrated student broadcasting network linking all EUNICE universities. Over the next 12 months, the project will roll out in three phases:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Infrastructure Setup (Months 1\u20133):<\/strong> Distribution of broadcasting equipment and the launch of four broadcasting hubs<\/li>\n<li><strong>Content Creation (Months 4\u20137):<\/strong> Development of multilingual programming and editorial collaboration<\/li>\n<li><strong>Network Expansion (Months 8\u201312):<\/strong> Establishment of sustainability practices and long-term growth strategies<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Expected outputs include over 40 hours of original content, a comprehensive technical wiki, and the first collaborative broadcast by Month 5. The project will benefit current and future students, academic staff, and local communities \u2014 all while promoting European identity, practical media skills, and sustainable practices.<\/p>\n<p>PULSAR Europa emphasizes open-source tools, virtual collaboration, and resource-conscious operations, ensuring both a low environmental footprint and long-term usability. The project\u2019s infrastructure is designed for a minimum lifespan of five years, with built-in training tools and academic integration ensuring its continued relevance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Looking Ahead<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This successful first round of funding sets the tone for what\u2019s to come.
