Rectors and Presidents as well as Vice Rectors and Vice Presidents from seven universities across Europe met for the first time and strengthened the joint strategic plans of EUNICE, the European University for Customised Education<\/h3>\r\nWhen French President Emmanuel Macron gave a keynote speech on the vision of a new Europe at the Sorbonne University in Paris in September 2017, he laid the foundation for the European Universities Initiative. Shortly afterwards, the EU Commission began to implement this idea. The university alliances are intended to bundle the strengths and diversity of European research and teaching in new structures to meet the challenges facing Europe. One of these alliances is EUNICE, the European University for Customised Education.\r\n\r\nOn the 11th of February, the first General Assembly of the European University EUNICE took place. Initially, the General Assembly meeting, organised by Pozna\u0144 University of Technology<\/span><\/a> (Poland-PUT), the leader of EUNICE European University, was planned in Business & Science Poland Office in Brussels. Unfortunately, the pandemic restrictions forced the alliance to move it online. The seven partner universities were represented by Rectors and Presidents as well as Vice Rectors and Vice Presidents. After 15 months of project duration, the consortium looked back at the milestones achieved so far and discussed future steps.\r\n

\u201cWe are very pleased that the efforts of international EUNICE team are so effective. European students can already choose courses from EUNICE offer and find interesting place for internships via EUNICE International Internship Portal. <\/em><\/span>\r\nHowever, the main part of the discussion was focused on the future extension of the Alliance, research activities (REUNICE project), legal status of the European University (AISBL) and finally search for necessary additional funding (Horizon Europe). EUNICE European University strategic plans are in line with all partner universities strategies. EUNICE already serves our students and will have an impact on the future of the European education as well as local socio-economic environment.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n
