EUNICE was represented by Professor Marta G\u00f3mez, representative of the University of Cantabria (Spain), involved in EUNICE\u2019s working group related to Shaping European Citizens<\/em> activities. She addressed the consortium as a key initiative for internationalisation of its partner universities and for the setting up of a network for collaboration in higher education and research.<\/p>\n

Attendees learnt about EUNICE European University during the panel entitled Embedding global education outcomes in institutional learning and teaching programme development: Only a challenge or possible reality?<\/em> In this panel, Prof. G\u00f3mez set out the basic lines of the strategy for integrating global education into university teaching programmes. She presented the courses on Introduction to Global Studies offered by EUNICE -its Massive Open Online Course and one of its Blended Intensive Programmes- as examples of good practices.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]About EUNICE<\/strong><\/p>\n

EUNICE, the European University for Customised Education, is nurtured by ten universities\u2019 intellectual and infrastructure input \u2013Pozna\u0144 University of Technology<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Poland),\u00a0Brandenburg University of Technology<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(Germany),\u00a0University of Cantabria<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Spain),\u00a0University of Mons<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Belgium),\u00a0University of Catania<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Italy),\u00a0Universit\u00e9 Polytechnique Hauts-de-France<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(France),\u00a0University of Vaas<\/span>a<\/a>\u00a0(Finland),\u00a0Polytechnic Institute of Viseu<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Portugal),\u00a0University of Peloponnese<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Greece) and\u00a0University of Karlstad<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Sweden)\u2013.<\/p>\n

This alliance, born from the European Universities initiative and funded by the European Commission, is building a solid network of interactions between educational institutions and other agents to work on social and economic challenges. Since 2022 EUNICE offers a wide catalogue of online and blended\u00a0courses<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0international internships<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>that Bachelor, Master and PhD student of the member universities can enrol and may get recognised as part of their formal academic degree with ECTS.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The event<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stellenbosch International Academic Networks 2023 is the 19th<\/sup> edition of a meeting which this year coincides with the 30th<\/sup> anniversary of the internationalisation of the Stellenbosch University, in southwestern South Africa.<\/p>\n

This 4-day international gathering was aimed at bringing new and existing partners together to network, discuss matters regarding internationalisation and to introduce the Stellenbosch University to the participants.
