This consortium of universities opened the application period for three intensive summer courses partly online and partly on-site: on Cybersecurity (Poland), Global Studies (Spain) and Optimisation (Germany)<\/em><\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]EUNICE European University launched three intensive summer courses in a hybrid format, allowing students to apply the contents learnt during the online part in subsequent on-site sessions. This way, the consortium strengthened its face-to-face academic offer, aiming at promoting common European values through interculturalism and at developing networking ties between students and academics from the different partner universities.<\/p>\n

To these purposes, a hybrid course on Optimal Control<\/em><\/a><\/span> is being offered within EUNICE as a new Blended Intensive Programme designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills of optimal control of PDEs and SDEs. It is organised by the Brandenburg University of Technology (Germany) and its on-site sessions will take place from 5th<\/sup> to 16th<\/sup> June in Cottbus, eastern Germany<\/strong>. Applications will close on 5th<\/sup> April.<\/p>\n

In addition to this course, the already existing Blended Intensive Programme on Introduction to Global Studies<\/em> will be offered<\/a><\/span> to the EUNICE community once again. It is aimed at introducing students the concept of global studies and different perspectives of the globalisation phenomenon. Organised by the University of Cantabria (Spain), the on-site part of this hybrid course will be taught in Santander, northern Spain<\/strong>, from 3rd<\/sup> to 14th<\/sup> July. Application period will start soon. This will be the third time this course is offered within EUNICE: having \u201cstudents from different countries working and living together made the experience worthwhile,\u201d said last year Marta G\u00f3mez, Academic Director for Internationalisation at Home at the organising university.[\/vc_column_text][vc_video link=”https:\/\/youtu.be\/7pHYNn1vOzI”][vc_column_text]Furthermore, this consortium launched a<\/span> hybrid course on Cybersecurity of the Internet of Things Solutions<\/em><\/a><\/span>, organised by Pozna\u0144<\/strong> University of Technology in a hybrid format, offering a face-to-face summer school from 3rd<\/sup> to 30th<\/sup> July at its university campus located in the west of Poland<\/strong>. Contents will be available online for self-study from 12th<\/sup> June and participants will be able to apply the acquired knowledge at the \u201conly university in the consortium that has facilities in the form of a real airport,\u201d as stated by Pawe\u0142 \u015aniata\u0142a, Vice-Rector for International Relations at this Polish university. Applications deadline is 9th<\/sup> April.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]About EUNICE<\/strong><\/p>\n

EUNICE, the European University for Customised Education<\/a><\/span>, is designed to solve social and economic challenges, both globally and locally. In 2020, EUNICE was selected during the second call for pilot projects of European Universities of the European Commission. The alliance is nurtured by ten universities\u2019 intellectual and infrastructure input \u2013Pozna\u0144 University of Technology<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Poland),\u00a0Brandenburg University of Technology<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Germany),\u00a0University of Cantabria<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Spain),\u00a0University of Mons<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Belgium),\u00a0University of Catania<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Italy),\u00a0Universit\u00e9 Polytechnique Hauts-de-France<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(France),\u00a0University of Vaasa<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Finland),\u00a0Polytechnic Institute of Viseu<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Portugal),\u00a0University of Peloponnese<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Greece) and\u00a0University of Karlstad<\/a><\/span> (Sweden)\u2013.<\/p>\n

This alliance, born from the European Universities initiative and funded by the European Commission, is building a solid network of interactions between educational institutions and other agents to work on social and economic challenges.
