MOOC: Introduction to Global Studies 2025

The EUNICE Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) Introduction to Global Studies aims to serve as an introduction to this discipline for those who want to have a first contact with this field. In the context of today’s globalised world, this free online course will help students understand the interrelationships created between actors at different levels (local, national, international) and how they can affect them and the people around them.

This MOOC is a self-study course, so participants can start it any time until the deadline in June and follow it at their own pace.

  • You can enter the course and learn any time from 6 October until the deadline. After the deadline, the course contents won’t be accessible.
  • There are limited chances to take the tests, so make sure to review all the contents of a module before taking each test.
  • Remember to download your certificate once you’ve finished the course.

Self-study contents: this course is designed for you to study at your own pace and doesn’t include any live sessions.

Anyone interested in global studies can attend this course, regardless of whether they belong to the university community or not.

This course is free of any tuition charges and there is no application form or registration deadline.

You can enter this course by clicking on the ACCESS NOW button (it will appear on the right side of the screen -coputers, laptops- or at the bottom of this page -smartphones and other small devices- from 6 October 2025), and then:

  • if you don’t study or work at any of the EUNICE partner universities, log in via the OTHER USERS option,
  • if you study or work at one of the EUNICE partner universities, log in via the EDUGAIN option using your university’s regular credentials. This will make it easier for you to obtain the ECTS credits.
  • there are limited chances to take the tests, so make sure to review all the contents of a module before taking it.
