Connecting, Collaborating and Shaping the Future of Higher Education<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n

From 8 to 11 September 2026, the European higher education community will gather in Glasgow for the EAIE Conference and Exhibition, bringing together professionals and institutions from across the world to exchange ideas, build partnerships and explore the future of international higher education.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

EUNICE will be part of this year\u2019s event, joining forces with Transform4Europe<\/u><\/a> to share a stand and showcase the work and ambitions of European University Alliances. Our Associated Partner, the Medical University of Bia\u0142ystok<\/a>, will also be present at the stand, which is funded through the NAWA project valuEU<\/a>, carried out by the University.<\/p>\r\n

The EUNICE team will also use the conference as an opportunity to connect with current and prospective partners, exchange good practices and explore new opportunities for collaboration.<\/p>\r\n

EUNICE on the EAIE <\/strong>programme<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

EUNICE will also contribute directly to the conference programme. Dr. Magdalena Sikorska, Secretary General of EUNICE AISBL, will take part as a speaker in two sessions:<\/p>\r\n

–\u00a0Cracks in the fa\u00e7ade? The untold realities of European university alliances<\/strong><\/u><\/a>, taking place on Friday, 11 September at 09:00;<\/p>\r\n

–\u00a0The geopolitics of European higher education<\/a><\/strong>, taking place on Friday, 11 September at 10:30.<\/p>\r\n

The session will provide an opportunity to look beyond the successes and visibility of European University Alliances and discuss some of the realities, challenges and lessons emerging from their development. With EUNICE\u2019s experience of building cooperation between universities across Europe, the session will contribute to a broader conversation on how Alliances can continue to evolve and create lasting impact.<\/p>\r\n

The Secretary General\u2019s participation reflects EUNICE\u2019s commitment to contributing not only to European cooperation projects, but also to the wider discussions shaping the future of internationalisation and European higher education:<\/p>\r\n

For EUNICE, EAIE Glasgow will be an opportunity to bring together several dimensions of its work: international cooperation, European University Alliances, mobility, institutional transformation and the development of stronger connections between universities and their wider communities.<\/p>\r\n

The conference will also provide valuable space for conversations with colleagues from universities, organisations and networks from around the world. These exchanges are essential for sharing experiences, identifying common challenges and developing new ideas and partnerships.<\/p>\r\n
