EUNICE project members celebrated its very first face-to-face meeting since the project’s kick-off.\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\r\n

After a year since EUNICE European University commenced its activity, members from the different universities of the alliance met at the University of Mons (Belgium), whose project representatives acted as hosts. For the last 12 months, due to the travel restrictions derived from the COVID-19 pandemic, the team has worked remotely from their respective locations across seven countries in Europe.<\/div>\r\n
<\/div>\r\n
This 2-day event brought together the project coordinators and project officers from each of the universities of the alliance, as well as the leaders of each of the work packages established in the project and other team members involved in the development of EUNICE’s key areas. Still, this was a hybrid event, as unfortunately – due to the latest development of the\u00a0 the pandemic- the representatives from the German university BTU<\/a> could not travel but joined online.<\/div>\r\n
<\/div>\r\n
Led by Poznan University of Technology, the Polish university coordinating the project, this convention was an invaluable opportunity to review together all the work that has been already done in the last year, as well as to make joint decisions about the activities coming up in the following months. Together, the teams from all the 7 universities represented in the alliance, established strategies to face some of the challenges that building a new model of university brings, such as the format of its courses, the system for accreditation or the best way to facilitate a shared space for teachers, researchers and admin personnel to share knowledge and work together.<\/div>\r\n

Participants in the event also had the chance to meet with two project officers from the European Commission: one who supervises EUNICE’s global project; and another one in charge of REUNICE, a\u00a0 project within the alliance that focuses on research.<\/div>\r\n
