University of Catania hosted the international meeting of EUNICE partnership from 6th to 7th June to discuss REUNICE’s next milestones<\/h3>\r\n<\/div>\r\nThe University of Catania<\/a><\/span> (Italy) hosted, from 6th<\/sup> to 7th<\/sup> June in Sicily (Italy), the first international meeting of REUNICE, project<\/span><\/a> which aims to boost research within EUNICE, the European University<\/em> for Customised Education<\/em><\/a><\/span>. More than 20 project managers gathered in this coordination meeting to discuss the next milestones approaching.\r\n\r\nREUNICE project, funded by the European Union\u2019s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme, aims to promote cooperation between universities and other sectors, open science as a result of EUNICE researchers\u2019 collaboration, excellence in education, research and innovation, foresting diversity, inclusiveness and gender equality, and finally, sustainable science for business and society, in line with current and future challenges of European Universities.\r\n\r\nREUNICE wants to contribute to enhance the quality and competitiveness of the activities developed within EUNICE Alliance and development of a society based on knowledge and innovation, especially thanks to the solid network that is being developed among partner Universities -in addition to the University of Catania<\/a><\/span> (Italy), Pozna\u0144 University of Technology<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(Poland),\u00a0Brandenburg University of Technology<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Germany),\u00a0University of Cantabria<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Spain),\u00a0University of Mons<\/a><\/span> (Belgium),\u00a0Universit\u00e9 Polytechnique Hauts-de-France<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>(France) and University of Vaasa<\/span><\/a> (Finland)- industrial and commercial partners, as well as other social, cultural, artistic and sports stakeholders.\r\n\r\nREUNICE project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under grant agreement No. 101035813.<\/em><\/span>\r\n
\r\n\r\nAbout EUNICE<\/strong>\r\n\r\nEUNICE, the European University for Customised Education, is designed to address social and economic challenges, both globally and locally. In 2020, the European Commission selected EUNICE on the second call for pilot projects of European Universities. Since then, the EUNICE alliance has advanced in its work areas such as international mobility, cooperation in research (Reunice), collaboration with industry and society and a shared course offering already launched this academic year 2021-2022.\r\n\r\nThe alliance is fed by seven universities\u2019 intellectual and infrastructure input –Pozna\u0144 University of Technology<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Poland),\u00a0Brandenburg University of Technology<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Germany),\u00a0University of Cantabria<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(Spain),\u00a0University of Mons<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(Belgium),\u00a0University of Catania<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Italy),\u00a0Universit\u00e9 Polytechnique Hauts-de-France<\/a><\/span> (France) and University of Vaasa<\/a><\/span>\u00a0(Finland)-, resulting in a solid network of interactions shared between educational institutions, industry and business partners, as well as other social, cultural, artistic and sports stakeholders.\r\n\r\nCaption: part of REUNICE team at University of Catania (Sicily, Italy)<\/em>.<\/em><\/span>\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n
