These scientists will be carrying out a 2-year research project at these Wallonian universities within the framework of the C2W Come to Wallonia \/ Connect with Wallonia postdoctoral programme<\/em><\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The University of Mons<\/a><\/span> and its partner University of Namur, both located in the Belgian Region of Wallonia, welcomed 15 world-class postdoctoral researchers within the framework fo the C2W Come to Wallonia \/ Connect with Wallonia<\/em> postdoctoral programme.<\/p>\n

After a\u00a0rigorous selection process, carried out by external panels of international experts, these researchers will carry out a 2-year research project in their own fields of study, which are as varied as mathematical and theoretical physics<\/strong>, antibiotic resistance<\/strong>, microbiology<\/strong>, pedagogy<\/strong>, robotics<\/strong>, geology<\/strong>, colonialism<\/strong>, ancient and medieval history<\/strong>\u00a0and ecology<\/strong>, among others. The programme also includes research training and career development, and each of them will be seconded to another sector entity (company, research centre, etc.) in Belgium or abroad.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0C2W Come to Wallonia \/ Connect with Wallonia is a European <\/em>programme funded by the European Union\u2019s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation<\/em> programme under Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie<\/em> grant agreement.<\/p>\n

What are the objectives? To broaden career paths, to enrich research results, and to gain international exposure. These post-doctoral fellows will also have the opportunity to establish new collaborations and to train new researchers.<\/p>\n
