French

Participants in the French course will learn the very basic words and phrases of French in different everyday situations:

  • Greetings
  • Numbers: telling the time, prices
  • Most common phrases connected to studying
  • Everyday practical situations: shopping, food, going to a café/restaurant/bar, buying a train ticket, concert ticket, movie ticket online

Students will learn how French works as a language, how to understand simple texts and find information in them. They will also get practice in listening comprehension and  learn how to correctly pronounce French. They will also get information about French and Belgian cultures and societies.

Students will learn how French works as a language. They will be introduced to the basics of the French language, including fundamental structures and simple text comprehension. They will practice recognizing key information in texts and develop basic listening skills. Moreover, they will learn about the very basics about Belgian and French societies and cultures.

All assignments are asynchronous on Moodle, except from the first session.
