This course is an introduction to Japanese in which students will learn a number of notions related to both language and culture. The aim of this course is for students to be able to read and write Kana (Hiragana and Katakana), engage in basic conversations for introductions and daily interactions, apply simple grammar and polite speech forms, and understand Japanese culture basics.
INTRODUCTION TO JAPANESE LANGUAGE & CULTURE
This course is delivered online live (12 sessions of 1h30 each).

- Japanese writing systems
- Basic vocabulary
- Introduction to katakana
- Basic grammar, introducing yourself
- Numbers and time
- Useful expressions
- Talking about your family
- Japanese etiquette, politeness and related vocabulary
- Introduction to Kanji
- Asking for directions
- Exam
- Japanese culture
