Co-financing of scientific publication costs

Project WERSE

Poznan University of Technology (PUT – Poland) is conducting WERSE project (within the framework of the PROM Programme of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA)) and one of the tasks (task no 4) is co-financing of scientific publications. The actions are financed by the European Social Development Fund (FERS).

Within this task support will be provided for the process of conducting scientific research and preparing and disseminating joint scientific publications within the European University EUNICE by paying for publications in recognised international journals (Open Access) from the list of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (at least 100 points).

Support covers the costs of publication in scientific journals that meet the following criteria:

  1. They belong to Q1 or Q2 according to the Web of Science (WoS) database,
  2. Have a minimum of 100 MNiSW points (as of the date of invoice), are published in open access (Open Access),
  3. Their co-authors must be PUT employees and at least one employee from a partner university of the European University EUNICE
  • Who: PUT employees together with partner(s) from EUNICE universities
  • Dates: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted or until 30 September 2026
  • How much: Up to PLN 13,200 (approx. € 3,090) gross per publication

Project ValuEU

Within th framework of this project, co-funding of scientific publications is also forseen.

The project is implemented by the Medical University of Białystok (MUB – leader), in partnership with the Poznan University of Technology as part of the programme ‘Support for European Universities – 2024 call for proposals’. The programme is funded by the European Union under the project entitled ‘Support for European University Alliances’.

To be entitled to funding, following criteria must be met:

  1. Possession of a final document confirming qualification for publication in journals indexed in Scopus and/or Webof Science (WoS) databases or selection of publications in peer-reviewed materials from international conferences indexed in the above-mentioned databases,
  2. Representative of the Medical University of Białystok+ representative of the selected university that is a full member of EUNICE,
  3. The persons submitting publications for funding are representatives of the Medical University of Białystok, i.e. students, doctoral students and university employees
    who are authors or co-authors of the publication, or the head of the department or faculty to which the publication is submitted.
  • Who: MUB employees together with partners from EUNICE universities
  • Dates: Task completion date: by 30 September 2026 or until the pool is exhausted.
  • How much: Up to PLN 17,560 (approx. € 4,110)
