Modern Greek for Beginners

The course Modern Greek for Beginners is designed for absolute beginners. It covers the essential skills needed to start speaking, understanding, and using the Greek language in everyday situations. The focus is on practical communication, common phrases, and cultural context, helping students build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Simple words, structures, and expressions are introduced, all aimed at improving everyday communication and making Greek easier to learn.

 

The content of the course consists of 6 units:

  1. Introduction to Greek Language and Alphabet
  2. Essential Vocabulary and Simple Sentences
  3. Everyday Situations and Interactions
  4. Basic Grammar and Sentence Structure
  5. Describing People and Everyday Life
  6. Greek Culture and Practical Tips

Timetable:

Mondays, 16:00-18:00 (CET)

 

  • EUNICE student: enrolled as a student (Bachelor, Master or PhD) in one of the universities of EUNICE European University consortium (check its members here).
  • EUNICE staff: working at one of the EUNICE universities.

Study Level: Admin/tech Staff, Bachelor, Master, PhD, Teachers/Researchers
