ALLIANCE GAMES 2022
The 2022 Alliance Games will take place between 20th and 27th October within the framework of the EUNICE Weeks and will feature:
Mixed-gender volleyball tournament

- it will be held at Poznań University of Technology (PUT) between 23rd and 27th October
- each EUNICE university will be represented by 6 players (+ 2-6 reserve players per university)
- players representing their own university in this international tournament need to be registered by using this excel form

E-chess tournament

- 100 % virtual chess tournament will be organised by the University of Mons (UMONS – Belgium) with support from the Belgian Chess Federation with an online video commented stream of the last games.
- Save the date: 20th October
- Each EUNICE university will be represented by up to 10 players
- Swiss format tournament (no eliminations) on the e-chess platform Lichess

time control | (3’+ 2”). 3 minutes at the start of the game for each player with 2 seconds added after each move. |

rules | any cheating will not be tolerated; cheaters who are caught will be ejected from the tournament and banned from the tournament for the next editions. |
tournament prize | a € 320 voucher will be offered to the winner of the tournament in order encourage a travel or the participation in an international chess tournament, within one of the EUNICE countries.
this voucher will be paid based on an invoice related to travel documents to any country part of the EUNICE network (excluded the country of your university). To claim the prize, the winner will send an email to alliance.eunice@umons.ac.be no later than 48 hours after the final game. |
streaming | the tournament will be streamed and commented on EUNICE YouTube channel by Jan Kabzinski (PUT student) and Lara Hernández (Belgian Chess Federation player). It will be similar to last edition’s streaming on YouTube. |
