Club activities:
Bi-weekly online meetups via Microsoft Teams (BTU-supported), structured
through themed breakout rooms.
A rotating bi-weekly program will be created, focusing on specific themes,
languages, and cultural topics.
Activities include:
- Mini-presentations by members about cultural aspects (e.g., food,
traditions, idioms, customs) - Language & Culture Game Nights using tools like Kahoot or Jeopardystyle quizzes
- Cultural Speed-Dating: short breakout sessions where members share
quick cultural facts or language insights - Cooking, music, or film exchange sessions to explore international
diversity - A Language Buddy System to pair learners for regular informal
conversations - Low-barrier competitions like tongue-twister duels, idiom battles, or
“phrase of the week” - The goal is to intertwine language learning with cultural exchange in a
playful, low-pressure environment
All activities take place in breakout rooms to encourage small-group interaction.
Each session is time-limited to 60 minutes to keep engagement high and
participation enjoyable
- Target Groups: Mainly students who want to learn, practice and strengthen their knowledge and language competences.
