Researchers’ Tuesday

Mardi des Chercheurs (Researchers’ Tuesday) is a yearly scientific poster contest organised, in turn, by Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (France) and the University of Mons (Belgium).

This year, Mardi des Chercheurs will be held in Mons (Belgium) on the 17th of March. This is a scientific event during which participants (that’s you!) present part of their work through posters.

Its aim is to provide a unique forum for discussion, enabling participants to discover the research being carried out by their colleagues and to initiate collaborations between individuals, departments and/or institutions. Prizes are also awarded for the best posters!

Mardi des Chercheurs is also open to all members of EUNICE partner institutions.

Poster Registration

PhD students and researchers from EUNICE institutions who wish to participate are invited to send a pdf version of their poster to alliance.eunice@umons.ac.be before the 17th of February (tentative date).

The posters will be printed by the University of Mons and displayed at the venue.

Practical Information

Each poster presented will be entered in the poster competition and awarded with a prize (thematic prize and general prize for best poster). A special EUNICE prize of 250 euros will be awarded to the best contribution from a EUNICE researcher (outside of the University of Mons and Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France).

The main event will take place on the 17th of March in Mons, Belgium.

Venue address: Wallonia Conference Center, Av. Mélina Mercouri 9/2, 7000 Mons

Participants can include a QR code to an audio or video file on their poster to accompany their contribution (between 30 seconds and 5 minutes). Attendance is not mandatory for EUNICE participants, but welcome.

Show Your PhD

Show Your PhD is a competition in which you can combine your research subject with your artistic passion!

It is an opportunity for all scientists to put their artistic sensibility at the service of science: choose the medium that thrills you to popularise your research. The disciplines can be varied: drawing, painting, dancing, singing, music, cooking, macramé, humour… surprise us!

Registration

EUNICE participants can send a video contribution to alliance.eunice@umons.ac.be before the 17th of February (tentative date).
