The University of Cantabria has included a EUNICE category in its yearly call for Massive Open Online Courses creation.
Lecturers from EUNICE European University interested in co-create a MOOC in collaboration with profs. from the University of Cantabria are invited to reach their Spanish peers at the UC to complete a proposal.
DESCRIPTION OF EUNICE MOOCs
A EUNICE MOOC is an open, distance learning course, with free access, with the possibility of certification, hosted on the EUNICE Moodle platform, delivered in English and co-created by UC faculty and at least one other university of the EUNICE consortium.
Some characteristics of the EUNICE MOOC courses to be generated that will be required:
- Rich learning resources: introductions, diagrams, maps, graphs, examples, activities, summaries and suggestions for supplementary material.
- Pedagogical elements that encourage motivation and allow for frequent self-evaluation by students.
PROPOSALS
In the proposals the following MOOC aspects shall be specified:
- Course title.
- Duration in ECTS.
- Director and teaching team.
- Experience and track record of the teaching team.
- Justification of the interest of the proposal.
- Estimated hours of study for the student.
- Brief description of the content of the course and the modules that comprise it.
- Budget required for the development of the MOOC.
