From October 23rd to 27th, the Poznan University of Technology hosted a volley-ball tournament as part of the Alliance Games. It was a unique opportunity from students from all EUNICE universities to come together in a week of sports and cultural exchanges.

Participants Natali Todorova and Alexis Flin from Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France offer feedback on their experience.

We went to the tournament to represent our university, and to show what we are capable of. It was a good opportunity also to discover Poznan: we visited the chemistry faculty, the city, a well-known cathedral, several restaurants with traditional dishes. What made the biggest impression on me was the other cultures and players we met on-site. We were able to get to know a lot of people, including the President of the University. It was a great experience, which helped strengthen the sense of unity between the universities. I hope to see more of this type of activities in the future. Next year, we are aiming for first place!

Our team was created especially for EUNICE, after an internal tournament at UPHF. We didn’t know each other at all, so it was an opportunity to meet. Once we arrived at the University of Poznań, we were welcomed with a speech, then we could meet other students. The spirit of the event was really to bring people together.

There were three days of matches, coupled with visits, laboratories that presented their infrastructures. We were also able to visit the city, we learned a lot. There was a great atmosphere between the teams, very friendly despite the competition. The organisation and supervision were very good as well. It was a great opportunity!
