About the programme

This volunteering camp welcomes university students from a wide range of academic disciplines and cultural backgrounds who share an interest in sustainability, inclusion, and intercultural exchange. The programme aims to strengthen cross-disciplinary understanding while fostering inclusive approaches that address diverse societal needs — including accessibility, active participation, and environmental justice — in alignment with European and global sustainability goals.

Pre-requisites: 

  1. Applicants must be enrolled at a EUNICE institution (Bachelor, Master, PhD);
  2. Open to students from any field of study ;
  3. English B2 level
  • Dates: 29 June- 24 July 2026
  • Location: online and onsite in Kalamata, Greece
  • Applications: In order to apply and guarantee Erasmus+ funding, contact the International Office (IRO) of your institution

The course “Sustainable & Inclusive Societies for a Better Future” covers the following topics:

  • Sustainability and Responsibility: Insights from Ethics, Society, and Economy
  • Environmental Sustainability and Biodiversity
  • Environmental Sustainability & Sustainable Crop Protection
  • Holistic Food Management and Combating Food Waste
  • Social Sustainability: Inclusive Approaches to Sustainable Development
  • Intercultural Approaches to Sustainable Development
  • Sustainability metrics and performance
  • Sport and Sustainability
  • Introduction to Sustainability Analysis for Engineering Systems

Teaching methods:

  • Online classes: Distributed by the partners involved in the course, the main aim of the online classes is to provide theoretical and conceptual content related to sustainability, responsibility and inclusion.
  • Volunteering camp: Participants will engage in a variety of learning activities, including lectures, workshops and group discussions. In addition, they will engage in volunteering activities related to the programme themes, allowing them to gain practical awareness of social and environmental issues while supporting community-oriented initiatives.

Practical Information:

  • The Summer Camp will take place at the University of the Peloponnese, Kalamata campus.
  • Accommodation for programme participants will be provided for free from 12 to 25 July.
  • Half board will also be provided free of charge.
