The alliance took part in this gathering to disseminate the consortium’s good practices, presenting EUNICE courses on Introduction to Global Studies as examples of the integration of global education into university teaching programmes

EUNICE took part in the 19th Stellenbosch International Academic Networks, held from 14th to 17th March at the South-African Stellenbosch University, to disseminate the consortium’s good practices. EUNICE was represented by Professor Marta Gómez, representative of the University of Cantabria (Spain), involved in EUNICE’s working group related to Shaping European Citizens activities. She addressed the consortium as a key initiative for internationalisation of its partner universities and for the setting up of a network for collaboration in higher education and research.

Attendees learnt about EUNICE European University during the panel entitled Embedding global education outcomes in institutional learning and teaching programme development: Only a challenge or possible reality? In this panel, Prof. Gómez set out the basic lines of the strategy for integrating global education into university teaching programmes. She presented the courses on Introduction to Global Studies offered by EUNICE -its Massive Open Online Course and one of its Blended Intensive Programmes- as examples of good practices.
