BRIDGE TALK SESSION IN ENGLISH

The course “Bridge Talk Sessions in English” will support student development in such areas as communication skills, problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills.

Upon completing this course students will be able to:
• speak English with greater confidence
• describe, explain and discuss a range of topics in English which refer to the globalized world issues
• demonstrate the ability to understand and speak English at the CEFR B2 level

 

During the course, several topics will be discussed which refer to the globalized world issues. Suggested topics for discussion are given below:

  • environmental protection and sustainability,
  • cultural differences, communication across counties,
  • AI – new opportunities and threats,
  • healthy lifestyle and diets,
  • coping with stress,
  • dealing with conflict,
  • creativity and hobbies,
  • self-discipline and work-life balance,
  • job interview – dos and don’ts,
  • motivation and grit,
  • language learning strategies.

The list of the topics is not restricted – they will be decided on during the kick-off meeting. The most important learning activities for this course are as follows:

• communicative language teaching
• learning activities: pair and group work, forum discussions
• role play

  • B2 level of English according to the CEFR levels
  • EUNICE students enrolled in one of the universities of EUNICE European University consortium (check its members here)
