Portuguese A.1.2 course builds on the foundational skills acquired in the A1.1 course, advancing
students’ ability to communicate effectively in everyday situations. Students will develop a deeper
understanding of Portuguese grammar and vocabulary, enabling them to engage in conversations,
understand simple texts, and express themselves more confidently in written form. Emphasis will be
placed on enhancing cultural awareness, with a focus on exploring the diverse cultures of
Portuguese-speaking countries.

Unit: Social Interaction and Leisure
Topics:
• Discussing hobbies and leisure activities
• Making plans and arrangements
• Expressing preferences and opinions
• Vocabulary for sports, and entertainment

Unit: Traveling
Topics:
• Vocabulary related to travel, transportation, and navigation
• Purchasing tickets and making reservations
• Giving and asking for directions
3.
Unit: Education and Work
Topics:
• Discussing education and professional experiences
• Talking about current studies and career aspirations
• Understanding job advertisements and interviews
• Vocabulary related to education, professions, and workplacess
4.
Unit: Home and environment
• Describing one’s home and neighborhood
• Talking about household chores and routines
• Discussing environmental issues and sustainability
• Vocabulary related to housing, furniture, and the environment
