Organised by the Poznan University of Technology, Summer School – Problems of elderly patients as an interdisciplinary issue gives you a solution!
A fully funded Summer School invites students to look at ageing from an interdisciplinary perspective – combining biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, architecture, safety engineering, ergonomics and artificial intelligence.
Learn by Doing!
This intensive Summer School will take place in Poznań, Poland, from 7 to 11 September 2026. During five days of lectures, exercises and workshops, participants will work with real-life examples, practical tools and interdisciplinary case studies.
During the programme, you will:
- learn how Universal Design can create safer and more inclusive spaces,
- analyse human error and accessibility challenges in ageing societies,
- work with digital human models and ergonomic simulations,
- discover modern methods of motion analysis and gait assessment,
- explore how AI can support medical diagnostics, including the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease,
- take part in group work, workshops, discussions and practical exercises,
- experience an international learning environment at Poznan University of Technology.
Financial Support
Participants selected for the programme receive financial support, including:
- Scholarship for stay in Poland
- Travel support depending on country of origin
- Accomodation cost support
