Grzegorz Przesławski, PhD student at the Poznan University of Technology (PUT, Poland), offer feedback about his international internship experience.

Internship is obligatory part of PhD studies and I wanted to do it abroad. I chose to do my internship, because it was in the field of my interest and I could do the research for my thesis. Moreover, the research unit was located in a wonderful location in the south of Italy.

I found this internship on the EUNICE portal because I was looking for the opportunity of international internship and the EUNICE project offered a lot of possibilities. Thanks to this internship I found a new possibilities in my research, new possibilities of modification my bone cements, I learned new testing procedures of drug release and a new language (Italian). And foreign language skills are very important in future work.

Moreover, I acquired and improved many skills in both professional and personal area. The internship has opened possibility of cooperation in further research and maybe job opportunity in the future. The research results obtained during the internship will be published and they will be use in my PhD dissertation.

This internship had impact also on my personal life. I met many people some of whom have become my friends. They were great not only on the professional level but also on a private level. I miss them so much. I also learned a lot about a different culture and that Italian cuisine is the best!

All the planning, organization and the trip itself also taught me a lot about myself and my own capabilities. I know, that I came back home as seemingly the same an improved version of myself.

It was my first international mobility experience and I am really satisfied! EUNICE has a lot of benefits, but the most important is that every opportunity such as mobility for a studies, internships etc. in several countries are in one place, on one platform. It is easier to find a place and make all formalities.

I recommend EUNICE to friends and colleagues, because makes it possible to find very valuable and interesting internships in any field in different corners of Europe. It is so much easier to get an internship via EUNICE than searching through the companies by ourselves.

If you want to do very valuable research internship, learn a lot, meet great people, make friendships and visit wonderful places, here is the right place to do it!

Have a lot at the EUNICE International Internships Portal.
