Would you like to do a research stay in Germany?
The Brandenburg Postdoc Network (PNB) invites applications for funding. A number of individual, open-topic grants are being offered to researchers with a doctorate who are interested in a research stay lasting between 6 and 24 months at one of Brandenburg’s universities (Germany). The grants will start in January 2024.
PNB Fellows will be offered a position at their preferred host university, which will provide an encouraging environment and support them in their research. In addition, PNB fellows have access to professional training and coaching supporting their development of individual and professional competencies.
APPLICATION
Start of positions: January 2024 or later
Location: at one of the following Brandenburg Universities (Germany)
- Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg,
- University of Potsdam,
- European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder),
- Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF

Applicant eligibility:
In order to enter the selection process, applicants must meet the following criteria (for more details, please, refer to the FAQs:
- Eligible applicants have a completed research doctorate.
- Applications must be complete (see required documents)
- Applications can be in either German or English.
Women are especially encouraged to apply. Brandenburg universities are family-friendly and offer numerous possibilities of support for researchers with children (e.g. child-care facilities, day-care organized during lectures, conferences, other scientific events, etc.). The universities will be glad to provide more detailed information to applicants if any questions arise.

- CV
- copies of academic certificates and documents
- list of publications
- contact details of two potential references
- outline of the proposed research project tailored to the research profile of the chosen university (4 pages)
- employer’s declaration (see form)
- letter of support from a professor of the selected host university
Fellowship:
Organizational support regarding visa, insurance, housing, etc. will be provided by the host university.

In addition, the PNB is filling by 1st October 2023 two postdoc positions with the possibility for habilitation located at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus – Senftenberg (BTU) at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Energy Systems.
