Reunice Doctoral Summer School in Italy (14 positions)

Would you like to join the 1st Reunice Doctoral Summer School on Sustainable Science?

The First Reunice Doctoral Summer School will be held from July 10 to 14, 2023 at the University of Catania, in Italy.

The topics the school will focus on are:

  • DAY 1: Introduction to Sustainable science
  • DAY 2: Sustainable Artificial Intelligence
  • DAY 3: Ecoism: shifting from an ego-centric to an eco-centric vision, thereby developing soft skills to adapt to the demands of today’s world
  • DAY 4: Collaborative decision making: sharing knowledge, approaches and techniques of collaborative decision making in complex decisions, usable individually and in teamwork
  • DAY 5: Sustainability & Environment, Sustainability & Society, Sustainability & Digitalization.

6 hours of lectures per day

Location: Palazzo dell’Etna, Via San Nullo 5h/i, 95123, Catania (Italy)

Applications deadline: 30 June 2023

Fees: University of Catania will refund travel expenses and will offer accommodation and food services. Applicants will receive more information about the arrangements.

More info on applications: The school will be open to about 14 motivated and pre-selected candidates with the following requirements:

  • EUNICE Ph.D. student: enrolled as a Ph.D. student in one of the universities of EUNICE European University alliance.
  • B2+ level of English.
  • Participation in other EUNICE initiatives and international activities (specify in motivational letter).

EUNICE will select two students from each partner university, ensuring equal opportunity and gender balance. Ph.D. Students who will not receive funding to travel could attend the Summer School online.
