From insight to impact:
Growing knowledge networks for
university professionals
In today’s fast-evolving academic landscape, technical and administrative staff are at the heart of internam and external collaboration, institutional efficiency, and innovation. Yet, many professionals working find themselves navigating challenges in isolation. While sometimes expertise exists within our institutions, finding the right peers to exchange knowledge and best practices can be difficult.
EUNICE Communities of Practice (CoP) offer a dynamic solution: structured yet flexible networks where professionals connect, share insights, and collaboratively address emerging challenges. By fostering engagement beyond institutional silos, EUNICE CoP empower staff to enhance their professional growth, strengthen institutional strategies, and contribute to the broader academic ecosystem. Our alliance of ten universities is committed to supporting these spaces, ensuring that learning and problem-solving happen collectively rather than in isolation.
What´s the objective of a community of practice?
A community of practice is “a group of people who share an interes or passion for a common practice an dwho learn to do it better by interacting (community) on a regular basis”. Anne Lessard (2013), Communauté de pratique, Dictionnaire des concepts de la professionnalisation, pp. 57-6.
EUNICE aims to bring together administrative and technical staff from the ten Alliance universities who carry out similar professional activities to interact and learn from each other.
The community of practice groups will give you the opportunity to talk to your peers in other universities, to share good practices, to learn from each other, to speak a foreing language and to meet virtually and even physically.
