ECLab Final Event: presentations and awards
The EUNICE Contamination Lab on-line laboratory is devoted to experience team working and coordination in an interdisciplinary and multicultural team, and to practically experience the challenges of generating an idea and developing it into a feasible project.
26 May, 2023 – (9 am -12 am CEST, online). Teams will be challenged in pitching their project idea, developed with the support of specialized mentors. Only the best teams will win a special prize: a summer school in Catania (Italy) from 10 to 14 July 2023.
Imagine Innovation Cup
The EUNICE Imagine Innovation Cup is a business competition between students of each EUNICE partner university. It is a key opportunity for students to get support in developing a business plan and launch a new company. By June 2023, each university will select one team to enter the final of the competition, which will take place at the University of Catania (Italy).
The winners will have the chance to access a special internship program. During this period, they will be able to visit EUNICE partner universities of their choice in order to be able to use the university environment to improve and test their business idea in different European contexts. Follow EUNICE on social media for future updates!
EUNICE Research (Reunice) Dissemination Events 2023
Science dissemination events and workshops will take place during 2023 in the different countries where EUNICE is present across Europe.

Keynote address by Vanessa Debiais-Sainton, Head of Higher Education at the European Commission and a round table discussion on the opportunities of EUNICE for students.

EUNICE Weeks 2022 took place between 20th October and 24th November 2022. The various events that are part of the EUNICE Weeks aim to raise people’s awareness of the richness and diversity of European culture. In a nutshell, the following activities were offered: 2 forums promoting student mobility and networking opportunities for staff within the EUNICE alliance; evening cultural sessions and conferences on Europe and its evolution ( the “EUNICE Days”) and sport tournaments called “Alliance Games” (online chess and on-site volleyball).

Industrial Ph.D. workshops in Catania, Italy
From 5th to 7th October 2022, three workshops took place at the University of Catania (UNICT – Italy):
1. Workshop 1: ‘Industry-driven Education’. Spread over 2 days. Day 1: building expertise in industry-driven Ph.D. opportunities within EUNICE and an advisory process on industry-driven Ph.D. Day 2: opportunity to meet other actors in the same field and to get an international overview.
2. Workshop 2: ‘Knowledge Triangle’. Co-organised by UNICT and University of Mons (UMONS – Belgium). Dynamics of EUNICE to be experienced with other research actors.
3. Workshop 3.1. and 3.2.: for researchers and for EUNICE staff members. They will take place simultaneously.
