Fifteen workshops and conferences were given by international lecturers from the business and academic worlds, including EUNICE partners.
From 12 to 16th February, IAE Valenciennes (School of Management of Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France) organised its fourth edition of the International Week.
The objective of this yearly event is to encourage Internationalisation at Home for the 350 master’s students of IAE Valenciennes. It gives the opportunity to students to participate in foreign language conferences and workshops given by foreign lecturers or professionals with international backgrounds, while discovering new topics and teaching methods.
“The International Week is a good way to have all our management students benefit from the variety and the expertise of our international and more specifically EUNICE partners. These students do not have the opportunity to undertake long-term mobility: this way, they are still able to enjoy different ways of thinking and teaching. They also become more aware that they are part of a European University.” – Véronique Sanguinetti, professor at Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France and organiser of the International Week
This year, the focus of the five-day event was on the potential of artificial intelligence in a wide range of management issues. This topic was explored, among other professionals, by two professors from EUNICE partner universities: Pr. M. Agoraki (University of the Peloponnese), who gave a conference about Developments in Banking and Finance, and Pr. S. Trzcielinski, whose lecture was entitled Opportunity recognition – Human vs Artificial Intelligence.
