Imen Ben Khaled, PhD student at Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (France), took three EUNICE courses in 2022-2023. She shares feedback about her experience.
The EUNICE platform offers a wide choice of courses with full access to lessons outside your field of study. In 2022-2023, I chose to follow three courses:
What is science?
I chose to take this course to understand science from a philosophical point of view. This course helped me understand the successes and limitations of different interpretations proposed for the scientific phenomenon and the importance of experience in confirming or refuting these interpretations.
This course improves critical thinking. I recommend it for all EUNICE participants, whatever their field of study.
NB: this course is open for registration until 15 September 2023. Find out more by clicking here.
Metal Process Engineering
I chose this course because I found it very interesting in my field of research: energy, chemistry, and materials. This course allowed me to understand the extraction processes chosen for the various metals.
NB: this course is not available in the 2023-2024 course catalogue. Discover all new courses by clicking here.
Giving a second life to our electrical waste
The importance of this lesson lies in defining the dangers of electrical waste. By taking this course, I understood the electronic manufacturing environment. It also allowed me to identify the toxic and valuable elements used during manufacturing. The main point of this course is to understand recycling technologies and raise awareness about environmental and health issues.
NB: this course is open for registration until 15 September 2023. Find out more by clicking here.
