This REUNICE project final event will take place on October 24 and can be watched live

The EUNICE Research (REUNICE) Project is set to conclude its impactful three-year journey with an open event to share with society its results and future prospects, scheduled to take place on 24 October, 2024, at the Poznan University of Technology (Poland). This event will be live-streamed, allowing global participation, and includes two keynote speeches by: Marek Zmuda, System Security Architect, Intel Corporation, on “Cooperation with academic communities” and by Anna Kobusinska, Ph.D., PUT Professor on “Demystifying the power of blockchain: from core concepts to application”.

During the meeting the participants will be familiarized with the results of the REUNICE project, including the platforms to foster scientific collaboration within the Alliance and beyond. The details on the project result will be presented by REUNICE Project Officer, Michał Weissenberg (Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications, Poznan University of Technology).

The project is wrapping up its 3-year activity, on which multiple focus have been explored such as a human resources strategy for researcher, a wide scope of trainings for PhD students, or an inclusivity chapter. During this period, three REUNICE platforms were also established:

  • Expertise Exchange Platform powered by Catalyst: Platform that will serve as a bridge between university entities and other social institutions and industrial centers, operating on the principle of a virtual marketplace.
  • An Intelligent Blockchain-based collaborative platform for Open Science: Platforms to connect people involved in research and projects in similar areas. The entire platform uses AI and blockchain to facilitate connections between users
  • The platform for sharing AI related competences of EUNICE Universities: Platform to bring together AI professionals from EUNICE universities, facilitate the exchange of AI research ideas and promote collaboration and integration with industrial and societal partners.

About REUNICE Project

EUNICE Research (Reunice project) was born in October 2021, funded by the EU’s H2020 Research and Innovation Programme, to align research and innovation agendas within the alliance. At the core of it lie the following objectives: to enhance human capital by implementing best practices, to share research infrastructures, to foster inclusivity and equality, to promote open science and cooperation between universities and other non-academic sectors.

REUNICE responds to the need to serve global and local communities by building effective collaborations between science and society in innovative ways, creating engagement between citizens, civil society and public authorities in research and innovation.
