The International Symposium on Educational Informatics (SIIE) provides an international forum for the presentation and discussion of the latest advances in research on learning technologies and their practical application in educational processes. It also aims to bring together researchers, developers, institutional representatives and teachers to share views, knowledge and experiences.
The 27th edition of the Symposium will focus on the impacts of digital development on education, such as generative AI and e-learning and b-learning practices. This does not mean that other topics will be excluded.
The Symposium invites high-quality contributions presenting original work in Educational Informatics related to the topics of interest.
Contributions can be written in Spanish, Portuguese or English. The title and abstract must also be written in English. Papers can be presented at the symposium in Spanish, Portuguese or English.
All contributions must be submitted in PDF format and conform to the IEEE Official Instructions for Formatting Proceedings.
📌 The deadline for submitting papers is 22 June 2025.
There will be three types of papers:
- Regular contributions, limited to a maximum of 6 pages.
- Doctoral consortium papers (max. 6 pages), presenting preliminary results from doctoral students in the area of computing in education.
- Project summary papers (2 to 4 pages), summarising the results of a project related to the conference topics (Introduction, Description, Results, Impact).
Submissions must be made via the EasyChair platform ( https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=siie2025 )
Submitted papers will be included in a post-proceedings issue, which will be submitted to the IEEE for possible publication in IEEEXplore (indexed by Clarivate WoS and SCOPUS). Articles to be published as IEEE proceedings must be written in English.
The best articles will also be selected for publication in extended version in various journals. Special issues already confirmed in:
- Revista IEEE RITA
- IE Comunicaciones
- Revista Millenium
