EUNICE continues to deepen its collaboration with associated partners across Europe. One of the latest examples of this growing cooperation was a specialised Food Design training hosted by the Medical University of Białystok, bringing together participants from EUNICE institutions.
The training welcomed representatives from the University of the Peloponnese and the Medical University of Białystok and was organised as part of the valuEU project, aimed at strengthening cooperation between the university and the EUNICE alliance. The event combined an interactive workshop based on Design Thinking methodology with hands-on laboratory sessions focused on the analysis and development of innovative food products.
Working in international teams, participants explored the composition and properties of food ingredients and designed their own products – including smoothies, jellies and cream soups. During the laboratory sessions they analysed nutritional value, texture and colour using specialised research equipment, gaining practical insight into food innovation processes.
Beyond the academic programme, the visit also created space for networking and intercultural exchange. Participants had the opportunity to explore the historic Branicki Palace and learn more about the host institution, strengthening ties between the EUNICE community and the Medical University of Białystok.
This training marks another step in building closer collaboration between EUNICE and its associated partners, opening new opportunities for joint learning activities, research cooperation and knowledge exchange across the alliance.
