During the EUNICE Microcredential in Climate-Resilient Infrastructure: Risk Assessment, Adaptation and Decision-Making, students will learn how to assess climate-related risks affecting infrastructure systems and apply practical approaches to strengthen resilience through adaptation and informed decision-making. Participants will explore climate hazards, vulnerability and risk assessment methods, infrastructure interdependencies, adaptation strategies, and real-world case studies to support safer and more sustainable infrastructure planning, operation and investment.
Microcredential — Climate-Resilient Infrastructure
The content of the course consists of seven units:
- Climate Change and Infrastructure Challenges
- Fundamentals of Climate Risk and Resilience
- Infrastructure Characterisation: Exposure, Vulnerability and Interdependencies
- Climate Hazard Assessment and Climate Information
- Climate Risk Assessment Methodologies
- Adaptation and Resilience Strategies
- Real Applications and Future Challenges
Online self-study course.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in engineering, environmental sciences, geography, architecture, urban planning or a related field is recommended.
- No previous specialist training in climate risk is required.
- English level B2 is recommended.
- Suitable for master’s and doctoral students and for professionals.
