Scientific Communication on the Internet 26-27 S2

The Scientific Communication on the Internet course is related to the creation of scientific web pages and blogs and how to communicate on the Internet. We will build a web page under a user-friendly tool (WordPress) and we will see some key issues in personal branding and science outreaching.

The content of the course consists of five units:

1. Introduction: science outreaching and communication on the Internet.
2. Personal branding.
3. Web pages: How to use WordPress.
4. Social Media: How to use content curation.
5. Blogs: How to make a good blog!
6. Multimedia: How to make a good video or infographic for science outreaching on the Internet.
7. AI: Use of AI in science outreaching on the Internet.

• EUNICE student: enrolled as a student (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD level) in one of the universities of EUNICE European University consortium (check its members here).
• B2 level of English.

Study Level: Bachelor, Master, PhD

• Please keep in mind that the number of participants could be limited for each course. Application does not guarantee enrolment in the course.
• The course participants will be selected based on criteria specified in the study guide.
• Your home university will inform you whether you have been accepted and provide further information about the next steps.

• BTU applicants: a Learning Agreement must be completed in advance in coordination with your departmental advisor.
