EUNICE European University is committed to the dissemination of research, innovation and science by participating in a wide variety of science dissemination events open to the public. The goal is to make visible the research and the resources available in EUNICE alliance, fostering open science and inclusiveness.
Researchers´ Night 2023
29 September 2023 – Poland, Spain and Italy
The European Researchers’ Night is a Europe-wide public event, which displays the diversity of science and its impact on citizens’ daily lives in fun, inspiring ways.
This year, the event took place in 26 countries on Friday 29 September 2023.
The European Researchers’ Night aims to bring research and researchers closer to the public promote excellent research projects across Europe and beyond increase the interest of young people in science and research careers showcase the impact of researchers’ work on people’s daily lives
The European Researchers’ Night attracts each year more than 1.5 million visitors in Europe and beyond.

RESEARCHERS’ NIGHT
Poznan University of Technology
This year’s Researchers’ Night (Noc Naukowców) -Poland- took place on 29 September: a wide range of presentations, lectures, demonstrations and experiments. The event brought research and researchers closer to the public and demonstrated the diversity of science and its impact on everyday life, aimed at inspiring young people to pursue careers in science and research. Scientists and students taking part in Researchers’ Night focused once again on caring for the planet. The Researchers’ Night usually takes place at the largest universities and research institutes in Poznan, Poland.

SHARPER NIGHT
University of Catania
SHARPER stands for SHAring Researchers’ Passion for Enhanced Roadmaps and aims to explain to citizens the role of researchers in building the future of society. Workshop on Multi-Functional Materials: from Synthesis to Applications
27 – 29 June 2023 – Valenciennes, France (deadline: 31st March)
Materials Institute (University of Mons and Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France) organised the workshop on Multi-Funtional Materials: from Synthesis to Applications for researchers and students involved in Materials and Engineering. The aim of this workshop is to gather EUNICE scientific communities involved in material sciences and engineering including Synthesis, Characterisations, Simulation, Modeling and Application.
The main topics will be: Materials and Chemistry, Materials and Health, Materials and Energy/Environment, Materials and Mobility/Transport and Materials and Technologies, among others.

Mardi des Chercheurs (Scientific Poster Contest)
13 June 2023 – Valenciennes, France (deadline: 19th May)
Mardi des Chercheurs (Tuesday for Researchers) is a yearly scientific poster contest organised, in turn, by Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (France) and University of Mons (Belgium). This year, Mardi des Chercheurs will be held in Valenciennes (France). This event allows to create a place of privileged exchange, to discover the research carried out by colleagues, and trigger collaborations between people, departments or institutions.
This year, just as last year’s event in UMons, Mardi des Chercheurs is also open to all members of EUNICE partner institutions.
PhD students and researchers from EUNICE institutions who wish to participate are invited to register on the Mardi des Chercheurs website. They will be invited to a hybrid session where they will be able to present their work during the event and compete for a specific prize (more information coming soon).

Mission Possible - Science Day
22 March, 2023 – Vaasa, Finland
University of Vaasa hosted the Mission Possible Science Day on 22nd March, 2023. The aim of this event was to stimulate local people, companies and other stakeholders to become more active in the university’s ecosystem. To this purpose, researchers offered short presentations, both in Finnish and in English and mainly in on-site format. In one of the presentations, Reunice (EUNICE Research) was addressed: Boosting innovation and university-industry collaboration. Tools and approaches for the future.
In addition, laboratory tours took place this day, as well as panel discussions. There also was a networking spot for members of the Vaasa Start-up Ecosystem at the West Coast Startup, the University of Vaasa’s joint start-up incubator.

14th Workshop on Operations Management and Technology 2023
16 – 18 March, 2023 – Salamanca, Spain
Operations and Technology Directorate of the Scientific Association of Business Administration and Economics (Spain), together with the University of Salamanca (Spain), organised the 14th Workshop ACEDEDOT on Operations Management and Technology. This university hosted the event from 16th to 18th March, 2023. It was aimed at promoting the exchange of experiences and ideas by bringing together researchers and professors in the area of Operations and Technology. To this purpose, the event provided a working environment and a forum for academic and research discussion.
Academics presented their communications on innovative teaching and research techniques in the fields of: Production and Operations Management, Supply Chain and Logistics, Quality Management, Innovation Management, Information and Communications Technologies and Environmental Management. Professor Lidia Sánchez, lecturer in Business Administration at the University of Cantabria (Spain), presented the Reunice Joint Action Plan on HRS4R – Human Resources Strategy for Researchers, created by all the EUNICE partner universities within the framework of an initiative promoted by the European Commission aimed at promoting a common basis in terms of human resources for research.
