The continuation of this consortium takes effect today and will last, at least, until 2027
EUNICE, the European University for Customised Education, starts its second phase today, three years after its birth, and will last, at least, until the end of October 2027. This consortium got approval from the European Commission in early July for the continuation of its activities and was granted 14.4 million euro in funding from the 2023 Erasmus+ European Universities.
EUNICE European university was established in November 2020 as a transnational alliance consisting of seven public universities: Poznan University of Technology (Poland), Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (Germany), University of Cantabria (Spain), University of Mons (Belgium), University of Catania (Italy), Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (France), and University of Vaasa (Finland). And now the alliance expanded by welcoming three new members: University of the Peloponnese (Greece), Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (Portugal), and Karlstad University (Sweden).
EUNICE is focused on transforming the educational experience for both students and teachers at a European scale. Its objective is to develop personalised educational paths, promote knowledge sharing among staff, foster interdisciplinary research, and implement educational approaches that address both global challenges and regional socio-economic issues.
“Our collaboration brings benefits that go beyond the capabilities of a single university,” said Rector of Poznan University of Technology Teofil Jesionowski, and “will have a positive impact on our institutions in many ways, stimulating innovative changes education and research.”
