After obtaining the approval for the next 4-year phase of the consortium, they met to analyse the “very good” results of the European Universities Initiative call.

The EUNICE Board of Directors met this week for the first time after the European Commission’s approval for the next four-year phase of the EUNICE European University to analyse the “very good” results of the 2023 European Universities Initiative call. EUNICE consortium, which will officially consist of ten partner universities as for November 2023, received confirmation of the maximum possible grant amount from the Erasmus+ Programme and got its proposal rated 82 out of 100, described as “ambitious and innovative […] that emphasises joint cooperation in a number of well-thought actions.”

The Board of Directors also discussed on the work agenda for the next EUNICE General Assembly, that will take place in September at the University of Catania (Italy) and will gather rectors, presidents and higher representatives, as well as staff members and associated partners, of the ten EUNICE partner universities. Key topics where raised during the Board in order to be proposed for the General Assembly agenda, such as research, innovation, knowledge transfer, and excellence programmes or the future EUNICE Summer Schools.
