CHIST-ERA in cooperation with National Science Center – Poland is announcing a call on international research projects in two topics

Addressed topics:

  1. Multidimensional Geographic Information Systems (MultiGIS) is a scientific field dealing with the development of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) that considers various spatial dimensions. It involves analysing geospatial data in multiple dimensions to better understand the spatial complexity of a given area.
  2. Smart Contracts for Digital Transformation Ecosystems (SmartC) involves researching and implementing computer programmes that automate, verify, and enforce agreements in digital transformation environments. They are based on blockchain technology and allow, among other things, for secure and transparent transactions in digital ecosystems.

How do I participate?

Funding can be obtained for salaries for the research team, salaries and scholarships for students or doctoral students, purchase or production of scientific research equipment, and covering other expenses related to the necessary expenditures for the research project.

To apply for funding, a joint proposal for the consortium must be prepared and submitted. It will be evaluated on its merits by an international team of experts jointly selected by the agencies within the network. Consortia’s joint proposals can be submitted by 10 April.

The results of the competition will be published by the end of October this year, with project implementation possible from December.
