Students and lecturers from University of Mons exchanged knowlegde with their hosts at Poznań University of Technology

From 22nd to 24th March 2022, students and staff from the University of Mons (UMONS), in Belgium, visited the Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications of the Poznań University of Technology (PUT), in western Poland.

UMONS and PUT are partner universities at the EUNICE European University. The guests from the University of Mons participated in joint classes with a group of students from PUT Cybersecurity Faculty, which are part of virtual meetings carried out in international groups. Some of the issues that students dealt with during the meetings were the security of IoT (Internet of Things) systems, securing the physical layer and the network layer within IoT systems, as well as creating secure web applications for those systems.

Design of an IoT system and evaluation of its vulnerability was planned to be carried out during classes. The execution of tasks included the use of electronic devices. The project itself included also risk evaluation and development of system defense in terms of cybersecurity.
